Top 5 Teen / Campus Cdramas

It's now spring here in Australia and what better time to enjoy the flowers and outdoor activities. However that would not be the case for everyone. Even though the cases here are few but we still need to be cautious as the pandemic is still lurking. I have finished most of these dramas even way before covid (only show how drama-addict I am).  Just sharing this, if you want to revisit your youth and reminisce those first loves, here goes my list.

                                           When we were young

A sentimental story aired around 2018, that revolves around high school students during the year 1996. Yang Xi (played Wang Pei) gets involved in a minor accident by a lab explosion and she was unable to compete in their school run. The culprit behind this was then transferred to her school. His name is Hua Biao (played by Neo Huo) , hot-tempered, very smart and caring kid to this grandmother. Hua Biao wants to be accepted in class and made Wang Pei his special friend. Later on, they go through lots of ups and downs in life. Be ready as this show will bring you to a emotional roller coaster ride.

A Love So Beautiful

Basically, the show that made Hu Yi-Yian and Shen Yue to stardom. Though many may know of Shen Yue as Shan-Cai in Meteor Garden but she already showed her acting charm in this series. Jiang Chen (played by Hu Yi-Tian) and Chen Xiao Xi (played by Shen Yue) are neighbors and classmates in school. Xiao Xi is cheerful and carefree while Jiang Chen is smart and quiet. Xiao Xi is head-over-heels with Jiang Chen. She keeps chasing but he keeps low profile. How long can he keep this behavior?  Watch on how they embark on high school life to university until their adult life. If enjoyed watching Itzura na Kiss (Jdrama series), 100% you will love this.

A Little Thing Called First Love

First off, this is a typical youth Cdrama, female lead loves the popular, smart and handsome male lead. But i love how the drama showed Xiao Miao Miao (played by Angela Zhao) journey from a shy girl to a confident and independent one. She was able to make her life become colorful because of her friends and most especially because of Liang You-Nian (played by Edward Lai).  Despite the clicheness, this will make you still feel butterflies in your stomach. As they all say, what can we do without this little thing called first love? 

                                                 

                                                   Skate into Love 

This is the perfect drama to be inspired to get up from your bed and follow your dreams. Undeniably the chemistry between the characters is very sweet and natural. The show revolves in Tang Xue (played by Janice Wu) and Li Yu Bin's (played by Steven Zhang) determination to continue in their sport while supporting each other despite difficulties. They perfectly manifest a kind of relationship where you want to be the best version of yourself. As these youths put on their skates, they will glide side by side into an exciting future ahead.

                                              Meteor Garden

This one doesn't need any introduction. I mean, who doesn't remember their teenage life without this drama? It other versions like Hana Yori Dang (Jdrama), Meteor Garden (Taiwanese version) or Boys Over Flowers (Kdrama). Despite watching all versions, the newbies in this show delivered strong personalities and precise performances in scenes that moved me. 

Shan Cai (played by Shen yue) and Dao Ming-Si (played by Dylan Wang) proved to their detractors that they are rightful successors of this famous series. Though I prefer the Japanese version, I was surprised that i finish this and actually like it.
